What a second post on same day can it be?????

12 June 2008 We took the boys to the park down the street from Lorri's house.  First we fed the ducks. See Zaan's nasty face he was mad cause he couldn't have his way. Boo hoo. Then he got over it and went into the cool little water park they have there.  Xander went in too and Lorri has that on video:)  They have a big play area with a bunch of slides and such and then they also have a big huge sand pit with dinosaurs everywhere. Pretty cool place I have to say:)  Then we went home and packed and laundered swimsuits and slept.

The last morning before we left Las Vegas we got up early and went to the pool in Lorri's cool little community. We had a great time splashing around and throwing water bombs at each other!!:)
Then we went back to the house and took showers got all clean loaded the car and then played Hyperdash the greatest game ever!!!!!

June bug for travel!

June 11, 2008
So we went to Las Vegas to visit Lorri and got to go Horseback riding.   That was interesting!! Zaan loved it though his horse popsicle, was very uncooperative!!  He did not want to go for the hour long ride at all.  Zaan was a trooper though and plugged away at the end of the line. When we had almost finished the ride Popsicle decided it was time to run and catch up soooo Zaan was absolutely thrilled as that was what he was wanting the whole ride!
Xander on the other hand was an entirely different story as he hated it as soon as we got on the trail. Whined and cried the whole way till we could see the car again then he was fine.  He rode Half Pint- fitting don't you think!  lol Who wanted to be stubborn and pave his own trail.:) So the guy had to lead him the whole way.  Lorri rode Chicago and I rode Sweet Clover haven't gotten pics from Lorri so I will have to post them later when she  sends them my way I know she got some great shots:)!!

So
here are pics of the horseback riding. You can see sweet clovers ears and part of his head as he liked to stop and eat all the time:) or fight my and throw slobber all over me yuck! And of course we have Lorri with the Thumbs up sign we had fun and it was definately an experience.

Schools Out for Summer!!

OK So I know its been forever... the last week of school for Zaan was busy and fun.  My last day of work (for the summer) was 13 May and Zaan's last day of school was the 22 so during that last week we went to the park and the zoo and dairy queen and had great fun. I am proud to say I am now the mother of a 2nd grader woo hoo:)
So glad to have a break for summer.  Zaan also had a bells program at church last Sunday so I will include pics of that too.  Hmm Brad leaves on Tuesday the 27th to go to Mississippi for 6wks for the NCO academy:)  Finally hes gonna get edumacated!! lol He is thrilled to be going gets him on a deployment of some kind right:)  Then on the 2nd we head to Montana to go see my mom as it will be a year since we last saw her. I know Janet we do need to come see you:)  Its in the works someday I promise though we would love to have you out here in good ole North Dakota:)heehee
NE ways  On the 6th we are traveling with grandma to Las Vegas where we will be dropped off to visit Lorri before she heads to Iraq again for another 8 mths.  So that will be a nice break for us :0  Then mom and Ron will pick up back up when they are done in AZ.  So that is the plan for this summer as of now and then we are trying to plan another trip to the east coast area but are not quite sure about financial capabilities at this point.  I will keep you posted on that.
So without further ado: Your photos ma'am:)

long hair I promise:)

Ok so here are a couple of pics of the boys to tide the masses ( of one:)) over, until the finale of the bathroom:) (Soon I promise.) Zaan has not asked for a haircut since a previous discussion about baldness earlier in the year so we will see how the summer plays out.:)  Brad is working on the bathroom now and is very closed to finished with the top molding! I am not sure if he plans on doing the bottom molding tonight, as we have  a birthday to attend.  Also an orientation at a friends house tonight as well.
That is all the happenings for now. Here's wishing you all a great week.

our bathroom fun part 1

This is our nasty old bathroom. You can see the one tile I pulled that started our "little" adventure.
The toilet top is black with white speckles and when we first moved in the toilet seat and cover were that horrid black as well!

This is the old mirror and light fixtures uhgggg~and below our lovely old nasty sink.

Re enlistment!/ and some other stuff

So Brad reenlisted on Thursday the 13th of March 2008. Four more years devoted to military life wooohoo.  General Deppe did the reenlistment at JR Rockers on Minot Air Force Base.:)

March beginnings

Hello,  I can't believe its March already!!  Thought I would update the blog before I get a nasty gram from my favorite person who misses her babies:)  LOL
August 29th was the last day of Zaan's Read a thon at School. I am proud to say that Zaan read 29 books resulting in about 81 dollars total that Zaan raised for his school Reading program.  We are all very proud of him and I am thrilled that he is such a great reader.  March is so far going well as the sun is warming us up for a change with two days in a row (today and yesterday) being above 50 degrees, wow a heat wave:)!!!We could go outside without a coat and and not freeze to death.
Xander is doing awesome as well. He can count to 39 or so and is fun to listen to.  He has started taking an interest in keeping his room clean but it comes and goes in spurts:)  Brad has finally made a decision and will be reenlisting on Thursday or Friday this week!! I am soo thrilled that General Deppe will be doing his reenlistment ceremony as he was my first wing commander ages ago:).  I am just praying the all goes well and it actually happens as he doesn't have a place to do the ceremony and is making jokes that they will reenlist him in the Generals hotel room.  :)  We will see I shall keep you updated:)
As for me, My big excitement for the week is that we finally got new shirts for work woohoo.
Also Zaan and I will get some just me and mommy time as Brad and Xander will be heading to Indiana for a little R&R with Grandma and Uncle Kevin Aunt Kristein and Kari and the dogs.  So that should be fun all around.  Kevin got back from a 16 month deployment in Jan and has been begging to see his bro sooo I pray they all have safe drives to and from Indiana:)
And that is all for now:)
Have a great month
